Space Slime!

Just an idea that sprang to mind :D

Space Slime

-Black and translucent
-Falls from the sky at night rarely
-Since they're falling from space, you have to vac them up before they hit the ground. If they hit the ground they explode similarly to a tarr.
-Diet: fruit
-Favorite Food: Moonfruit (bet you thought I was gonna say starfruit. Well that would work too)
-Like a puddle or fire slime, they can't be made largos
-Plort: Black translucent with white sparkles like stars with a purple "gemstone" in the middle

Unknowns:
-Slimepedia entry
-Actual picture
-Would they need a special pen or could they live in a normal corral?
-Plort price: Since these slimes are rare, the price should probably be up pretty high at the start. 350 newbucks or so?
-Places they would spawn (Maybe add a new spot to the map? ;)

How would you ranch them if they explode when they hit the ground.

Maybe after you vac them up they stabilize, or you might need to have a special corral to put them in.

could you write the post into a slimepedia entry format?

also this would be overpowered if they could live in a normal coral, and bec they cant make largos, they could be put in with other non-largo slimes, especially early on.

They dont know what way they should make the slimepedia entry for the space slime, so dont go pressuring potato

By request, here is a tentative Slimepedia entry for my Space Slime:

Space Slime

Oh look, a shooting star! No wait, it's... it's...!

Diet:
Fruit

Favorite:
Moonfruit

Slimeology:
These translucent black slimes fall very rarely from the sky at night. Since they are falling from space, they will explode upon hitting the ground, so vac them up quickly! Once they have been in your vac pack, they will stabilize -- for the most part. They cannot be made into largos and require a special corral to contain them.

Rancher Risks:
Since they fall from the sky, ranchers will be tempted to look up to see where they're falling. This means that they aren't looking in front of them. So watch out! Make sure to always look ahead of you, because you never know when a random cliff will appear for you to plummet off of...

Plortonomics:
The Space Simes' plorts are translucent black with a mysterious purple "gemstone" in the middle of them. They also have a curious sparkle, as though they reflect the stars from which they came. Because the Space slimes are so rare, their plorts are rather valuable. They are used for many complex machines, both back on earth, and also on the Far, Far Range.

So there you have it. Remember, it's not set in stone, and I'm totally open to suggestions.

Thanks for the welcome, but I have to ask: don't most slimes in the game just "exist?"

Well, most of them have some kind of attack or just something that makes them harder tot ranch when they aren't cared for properly. Like the quantum slime teleporting away or the tangle slime grabbing stuff from outside the coral.
I like the idea btw!

Regarding an ability for this slime, maybe when agitated or hungry it could produce a gamma-ray burst or turn into a tiny black hole. Just some ideas.

Yeah that's a neat idea! Or it could rain down meteors or something too.
