Floppy Slime
These slimes are floppy in more ways than one!

Image

Diet:
Veggies, Grass

Favorite:
Carrot

Slimeology:
Floppy Slimes are an elusive type of slime found throughout the Far, Far Range. Active mostly at twilight, they quietly zoom around in pairs looking for carrots to eat. Otherwise, they can be seen hopping around hard-to-reach places.

Be careful about exclusively feeding carrots to the floppy slime. Doing so will make them sick, and it is not be long before a sick floppy slime disappears. It is best to keep them in areas of the ranch where grass grows naturally.

Rancher Risks:
While posing no direct threat, a floppy slime requires a fully upgraded corral to be kept properly. When happy, this slime is known to burst in energy, zooming around or performing high jumps, or it may peacefully lie down on its side. An agitated floppy slime will be very likely to chase and bite a neglectful rancher.

Plortonomics:
Floppy plorts can be refined into a luscious fabric-like material that is highly sought after by clothes manufacturers. Its durable yet biodegradable nature makes it the material-of-choice for environmentally aware consumers.

Nice idea. Though carrots being favorite food was concerning at first, it's good to see that there is a twist to it.

Yeah, I wanted to play a little bit into the pop culture depiction of rabbits loving carrots. I also wanted to be able to put carrots into better use since they often just get discarded (e.g., when gardening Odd Onions).
However, I wanted my slime design to reflect real life. Rabbits can't have carrots as a staple diet; they're only a treat! Hence, the mechanic that they have to be around grass (to feed), or else they'll get sick :)

You forgot to mention that they will chew on any furniture nearby. :-)
Wonderful idea, and nice to see another rabbit person.

EDIT: Oh, the thump! They should thump when they are about to become aggressive.

Wouldn’t that just be aggressively hopping since they don’t have feet? XD

They would probably slam down fast and hard to do the thump.

This is real rabbit behavior. When frightened, they thump their back feet as a danger warning. Domestic rabbits will also do this when annoyed. I usually get a thump or two after I pick them up to trim their claws.

This is also why you don't hit the ground with a *pat*pat*pat* to try to get a rabbit to come to you, like you would a dog. You can pat gently or scratch, but thumping the ground makes the rabbit think you are issuing a warning.

Thank you! Sure am, but, to be honest, I'm slightly more excited for the Secret Style Pack. Can't wait to see the new types of largos we can make!

Thankfully there's not much furniture on the ranch, haha! Also, yay rabbits! :D

I can see this kind of thumping by the floppy slime to be more plausible. Plus, the floppiness of their ears would be more obvious!

Yeah, at least our rabbits let us know when they're miffed :)
