Ranch Efficiency Design

Postby TheLevens » Sat Jul 21, 2018 10:56 pm

So I’m here today to show you my layout of my ranch. I believe that my ranch is very efficient in producing plorts. All areas have drones, market links, refinery links, and teleporters.

https://screenshotscontent-d4002.xboxlive.com/xuid-2533274873046787-private/96f691bd-69cd-472d-88c9-50b539934785.PNG?sv=2015-12-11&sr=b&si=DefaultAccess&sig=NmjUcQBf%2BbnG0Q71muL0VF1t9FW%2F3FZX3rVFAXjYo38%3D

First area of my ranch I have 3 gardens 3 corals and two silos.
Here I have pink/saber Largos, dervish/tangled Largos, and dervish/tabby Largos.
3 gardens produce pears.
Drone 1 gathers pears and stores them in silos
Drone 2 takes pears from silos to the auto feeders.

Second area is the overgrowth. Here I utilize natural hen hen growth along with three other coops and a silo. Drone 1 gathers chickens inside coops and drone 2 gathers chickens outside of coops. Both deposits them into the silo.

Third is my docks where I keep my three puddle slime ponds and a silo. I like this spot for puddles because I can put puddles in the natural waterfall lake. I can fit 7-10 puddles in that waterfall pond if they behave. Both drones in this section pick up puddles and put them in the silo.

Fourth is the grotto where I have 2 gardens, 2 corals, and 1 silo. I have fairy/crystal and fairy/magma Largos with cherry gardens. 1 drone gathers and stores while the other takes from storage and delivers to the auto feeders.

https://screenshotscontent-d4001.xboxlive.com/xuid-2533274873046787-private/faf0d5df-9362-40c7-a593-d54622e7ecbf.PNG?sv=2015-12-11&sr=b&si=DefaultAccess&sig=aFCIMXKXmesWYyeX6%2Fg4jvWElxBu46IF%2Bu1v6c7fAJ0%3D

Fifth is the wilds expansion which holds 2 gardens of phase lemons, two corals of phase/radioactive and phase/mosaic Largos, and a hen hen coop just because. 1 drone gathers, 1 drone feeds.

https://screenshotscontent-d4001.xboxlive.com/xuid-2533274873046787-private/14974386-8cfc-4ade-bbc3-6a77b642ed8b.PNG?sv=2015-12-11&sr=b&si=DefaultAccess&sig=O%2FId5Ds0CR3QcnrbP7s4N4DnfFfTROUkj0mGVR%2FDLjA%3D

Sixth is my lab area that has two mint mango gardens, 2 corals with honey/rock and honey/hunters, and a silo. 1 drone gathers, the other feeds. This is also my staging ground of teleporters that take me to my specific resource diggers across the far far range.

https://screenshotscontent-d4002.xboxlive.com/xuid-2533274873046787-private/b2cdeb94-4485-4610-8ca5-44062f4d4e6c.PNG?sv=2015-12-11&sr=b&si=DefaultAccess&sig=7GDpsQoM%2F0wRnzccBvin294%2BKLrevEUDXlDCqLo%2FsU4%3D

Lastly we have the Mochi Miles expansion where I keep 3 incinerators with Fire slimes, 1 garden of carrots, and a silo. 1 drone picks up food and drops them in the incinerator that has the least ash in the trough(from what I’ve observed so far anyway), while the other gathers plorts and stores them in the silo.

So thanks to the automation update, all I have to do now is water my drones and pick up plorts to either sell or store them in the refinery. If we had three drones per area, most of my farm would be automatic and all I’d have to do is sit and do nothing.

Thanks for your time, hope my ranch helps any newcomers or people struggling to make this farm work correctly. Any feedback or questions is welcomed.

Fifth section. 2 gardens 2 corals, 1 silo, and I had an extra plot I didn’t know what to do with so
I put a hen hen coop because I didn’t have one yet. Drones gather and feed.

I don't have a lot of fancy screenshots, but here's my layout in description:

The Lab:
Pink/Phosphor and Saber/Quantum nearest the lab doors, gardens with Cuberry and Phase Lemon opposite the corrals. The plot on the side of the lab goes unused. Market Link sits on the right of the lab, drones are placed in the two spots between paths to the grotto and main ranch. Drones move Fruit from Gardens to Corrals and Plorts from Plort Collectors to Market. Lab is fully automatic.

The Grotto:
Boom/Radioactive on the ground floor in the back nearest the ramp, Oca Oca opposite the corral. Rock/Tabby on the top floor nearest the path to the lab, garden with Heart Beets in the other top plot. Last plot goes unused. Market Link between the two top plots, drones on the ledge with the path to the lab. Drones move Veggies from Gardens to Corrals and Plorts from Plort Collectors to Market. Grotto is fully automatic.

Main Ranch:
Starting from the Grotto path, Puddle and Incinerator immediately on your right. Garden with Prickle Pears and a corral with Tangle/Dervish next. Silo and Chicken Coop to the left by the path to the lab. Drones are placed opposite each other by the stairs up to the house. Around the Market Terminal three teleporters; left to right they lead to Moss Blanket, Ancient Ruins and Glass Desert. The two plots behind the fence are a garden with Mint Mango and a corral with Honey/Hunters. Drones move Fruit from Gardens to Corrals and Plorts from Plort Collectors to Market. Main Ranch is fully automatic.

The Overgrowth:
The plot just as you enter holds Odd Onions in case I need them. Tons of chickens roam the place and are preyed upon by a single Hunter/Saber because I found it hilarious. To the left a garden with Silver Parsnips, and the slightly raised platform plot has a corral with Crystal/Mosaic slimes. The drones are placed next to the garden and up against the central dais. Drones move Veggies from Gardens to Corrals and Plorts from Plort Collectors to Market. Overgrowth is fully automatic.

The Docks:
Five Puddle Slimes with a rubber duckie in the waterfall lake like I assume everyone has. Looking at the plots from the lake the near left and far right are Odd Onion gardens, the near right is an incinerator with three Fire Slimes, the far left is a silo. A Market Link and Refinery Link sit next to each other between the silo and far garden. The drones sit on the left. Drones move Carrots from Gardens to Incinerator and Plorts from Incinerator to Market (used to be Silo for refining). Docks are NOT fully automatic as I have to constantly handle Puddle Plorts on my own.

Mochi's Manor:
Needs a minor rework, but has three corrals of Mosaic/Dervish slimes and two gardens with Prickle Pears. I frequently come here to find twisters EVERYWHERE so will probably delete a corral. Market Link to the left of the entrance, drones right by the path. Drones move Fruit from Gardens to Corrals and Plorts from Plort Collectors to Market. Mochi's Manor is technically fully automatic except I have to manually clean up after the unexplained storms.

The Wilds:
As yet unlocked because Kookadooba hunting just isn't all that fun, but will face a similar setup to Mochi's Manor.

I’ll probably follow a similar way for the drones once my refinery is full. But I make my drones store the food in silos to prevent waste and dying crops when the auto feeders are full.

But when I have nothing else to do, I might change it to get food to feeders and then sell plorts. But at the same time I’m already 2mil in the bank already so it really doesn’t matter to me atm.
