I'm not sure what you could really do with a level editor, honestly. I mean, you could make areas with new secrets, but then you'd need to be able to share them to actually have new secrets. The game seems designed to not have any capability of being challenging whatsoever, so for that you'd need to be able to modify existing elements to be more challenging, but even then.... I mean, pretty much all the obstacles in this game can just be walked past (even Feral Slimes). I guess you could try something where the Jetpack needs to be used carefully, but I don't really consider the game a platformer, so that seems out-of-place to me.
I mean, there'd be some utility to a level editor, but I just can't seeing it to be significant enough to actually try to make and maintain one (combined with the likely necessary way of sharing them but then also moderate them). It's a simulation game, not an action/adventure/whatever game. Maybe that's just me, though. It'd probably also have to be limited to PC, though they might be able to work something out for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It might work, but I just don't see it as a worthwhile investment, personally. Feel free to disagree, though!
