This is - or rather was - a known issue happening for a brief period after the Mochi update came out. Unfortunately there is no way to bring back the gadgets that were lost this way. Sorry about that.
We have, however, applied a fix since and this should no longer be happening - see the notes regarding the March 14 update at the bottom of the post here:
