I don't know about you guys, but I've noticed that the grammar in this game is often pretty terrible. The first image should say "Reduces agitation of nearby slimes, especially tabby slimes, though they still don't know to knit any more than other slimes".

The second image doesn't even make sense. Maybe they were trying to say "sweet AS honeybees".

The third image doesn't necessarily have bad grammar but it could certainly be rewritten to be a bit more fluid.

'To be sweet on' is an old way of saying someone 'loves' or 'dotes on' something.

The translations are far worse. In the French version of Slime Rancher, half of the sentences do not make any sense—the translator was not fit for the job. I would always google ‘Slimepedia’ to get the English version because I could not understand the French Slimepedia. In the end I gave up and switched SR back to English.

Same happens with the Spanish translation tbh. Many grammar mistake, sentences and words that do not make sense and lots of font problems. I have previously reported some of these (before v0.5.1) but nothing had changed.
I want more Slime Rancher tings fam.

I can't speak for the translations, but you can leave feedback for them in the official feedback threads that are now stickied.

Regarding the English language phrasing, Slime Rancher specifically uses a more conversational tone in the copy present in the game. If you're not a native English speaker, some of the words used and phrasing may indeed seem off as they often air on the side of a American south influences to fit the frontier vibe of the game. As Bloo pointed out, the buzzy bee description makes perfect sense as being 'sweet on' something is a way of saying you like or are fond of something.

Hobson especially utilizes a mild, relaxed, southern dialect to give him an 'old codger' feel in the way he talks. This is very intentional.

Edit: Rereading your original crit, you are correct about the use of the adverb 'anymore' as that tends to relate to time passing. We can certainly make that correction in a future update.
