A Slime stuck in Time.

Postby DeltaStorm » Tue Jan 26, 2016 12:07 pm

Starting Plort Value: 60

Rarity: Found in the temple hidden in the moss blanket.

The 'Ancient Slime'

A Time Slime

Slimology: This slime is said to be a time traveller, although this has never been confirmrf, their plorts can be used for time related uses. The slime has a cyan colour, and a swirling 'heart'. This 'heart' has been found to be linked with time. Staring into the 'heart' has been said to tell you your fortune. This is the first slime known to have something similar to an organ. The actual biological use of this 'heart' is to process food, and this unfortunately takes time, but this means they cannot become a Largo or Tarr, as the 'heart' rejects plorts.

Risks: The Anceint Slime takes time to give a plort after being fed, and takes longer to become hungry. Making an auto feeder less-useful as it will fire out non-needed food out.

Plortonomics: This plort is used as a consumer-grade computer storage device, as it can hold up to one petabyte per plort, They are processed into hard drives, where they are compacted for maximum storage and minimum size.

That is the coolest idea for a slime i've seen so far, but would it look something like this.
P.S. The white spots are bit of time dust inside of the slime.
Also you should make the quote "So many slimes, so little time." XD

I was inspired by the CyborgJellyfish's design, and tried to add a bit of a more spacey feel to it. Maybe it travels dimensions as well!

They sound neat (and very cute). The delayed plorting mechanic adds a layer of complexity. It would be neat if they had some sort of time weirdness power shown. Your description and plortonomics contradict each other, though; description says it's for time-related things, and plortonomics says it's for storage space.Time and space are kind of the same thing, but then I think you'd want to say "spacetime" in the description.

Also, what does "linked with time" mean? Is it along the same lines as "color of cheer"?

I see memory more to do with time then space.

Yes.
