Ranch exchange thought, reputation & "humanitarian" requests

Hi,

This is just a quick thought. The Ranch Exchange would be greatly benefited from a Reputation Points system, that scales the quality of orders. A player quickly gets to the point that trading three crystal slimes for five mint mangoes is not particularly helpful. Make more extracted goods appear, or a larger number of plorts sold for a profit, and the Exchange becomes valuable again. High reputation points would increase payback value, increase the odds of getting extracted/rare resources, and possibly trigger special payments (unique slime science blueprints).

It sounds like something like this is coming into play with the "special missions". Something was said that you have to "impress" the people to do missions in their area. The "impress" may just be completing the game, but I think a reputation system that unlocks better exchanges would be more beneficial.

Something that would fit well into a Reputation system would be occasional requests marked "Humanitarian". The slimepedia entries already discuss plorts used in underdeveloped areas, such as the fire plort for fuel.

- Humanitarian missions would start off with request amounts x2-x3 larger. Requesting 20-30 of a resource would not be unusual, perhaps more for staple items.
-Staples of Humanitarian requests would be fire and water plorts (obviously), foods, pink and rock plorts (fundamental building material), and rad plorts (power). However, requests could ultimately be anything. (30 dervish plorts to rebuild a weather control center.)
- The payback for requests flagged as Humanitarian would be reduced, being 50%-25% normal. You may fill a large order only to get a few stony hens in return.
- Inversely to payback, Reputation accrued would be 150%-200% normal. (If you are using a scale of 0-10 reputation with each NPC, Humanitarian requests would be an additional reputation point.)

Thank you for your time.
