I think the gif says everything. I don't know what happened here, but I wasn't low on health so it didn't kill me (it did make me laugh).
Faster than quicksilver slimes.

Maybe the oasis shield generated collision for the rolling rock-dervish who picked up a prickly pear. This collision bug knocked the rock slime back, flinging him into you. Or maybe after the collision, he teleported to you... there's something wrong with the oasis, I wonder what's the problem there.

He was just trying to eat his pear and you came along and scared him.
