Unable to Play (Steam)

I bought Slime Rancher very recently and was excited to play it. I managed to create a new world and play for 30 seconds before I was kicked back to my desktop, with
"Nvidia Display Driver crashing and has recovered," now when I start up the game again it crashes straight away. Even on safe mode. Is it related to my old specs?

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9300 2.50GHz
GPU: Nvidia GTX 9800+
RAM: 8gb

Welcome to our community Andrew, sorry to hear you're having trouble!
Can you tell us which version are you running?
Have you installed any mods to the software?
Have you tried updating your Nvidia drivers?

The next time this happens, please send your log files to bugs@monomipark.com along with a brief description if your drivers are updated.
You can find them on Windows here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Slime Rancher\SlimeRancher_Data\output_log.txt

Andrew, please try this below and let us know if this fixes it!

go into the nvidia control panel and set not just all graphics to use the nvidia card ...., but to set the 3D graphics to always use the nvidia card. Once I did that and restarted, presto, no more crashing.
