Black game window (due to fake monitors detected?)

Postby Nicro » Sun Jan 17, 2016 4:56 am

Heya,

I tried to launch the game and it ran fine while being in the main menu.
Starting a new game now resulted in the game window going black with only the cursor showing though.
I have not been able to start the game ever since. (No reaction at all when running the executable.)
There are a few common causes for this in Unity, I could not confirm any of them to be at fault here yet.

Here is some Info
Code: Select all
Game output in console:
Set current directory to /home/nicolai/SlimeRancher
Found path: /home/nicolai/SlimeRancher/SlimeRancher.x86_64
Mono path[0] = '/home/nicolai/SlimeRancher/SlimeRancher_Data/Managed'
Mono path[1] = '/home/nicolai/SlimeRancher/SlimeRancher_Data/Mono'
Mono config path = '/home/nicolai/SlimeRancher/SlimeRancher_Data/Mono/etc'
displaymanager : xrandr version warning. 1.4
client has 6 screens
displaymanager screen (0)(HDMI-0): 1920 x 1080
Using libudev for joystick management

Importing game controller configs

(Here it automatically terminated with no more output)

Code: Select all
My system:
Linux Opensuse 13.1 x64
KDE 4.11.5
AMD Radeon HD 8650 (Sapphire)

(I would also put the game version but I cant find the number outside the game, should be the most recent.)
It's important to note that I only have one screen and it is the only one registered according to KDE.

Thanks in advance for any help.

A friend of mine had a similar problem, but he actually has multiple monitors. He never managed to get it to work on version 0.2.1, but it worked fine the first try on 0.2.3b. I would say to make sure you really have the latest version. Sorry if that doesn't help!
