How do I update to the latest version?

Hello!

If you're playing Slime Rancher through Steam, the game should automatically update to the latest version. You may need to restart Steam to trigger the download of a recent update.

If you directly downloaded the game from Humble please follow these steps:
1) Return to your Humble download page. If you don’t remember your download page please use https://www.humblebundle.com/resender to have it re-sent to you.
2) Download the new copy of Slime Rancher.
3) Run the installer the same way as when you originally installed Slime Rancher. It will overwrite the old install. All your save games and preferences are stored separately, so they are safe.
4) You’re done! Happy ranching!

Hi! I just updated to Version 0.5.1 and now when I try to open an existing saved world or create a new game it will not start. I am just stuck at the main screen and when I click Continue it does not do anything. I have restarted since downloading the update.

What should I do?

I just updated to 0.6.0, and when I go to open the game, I get a white pop up screen and it never loads. When I click on the game it has a (not responding) on it.

Any advice would be great.

Uninstall the game and install it back. It worked for me.

Same exact thing happened to me, I had to uninstall the game and do a clean reinstall.

Did it keep your saved games?

They shouldn't get deleted, but I would make a copy of the save file just in case. To do that just follow these steps:

1.Hold the Windows key + R.
2.Type in "Appdata" and press Enter.
3.Open the "LocalLow" folder.
4.Copy the folder called "Monomi Park" and paste it in a safe place.

Yes. The saves are in a different location so it did keep them.
