Game won't start

As of today, Slime Rancher won't launch for me. I played it with no issues 2 days ago. When I click Play, it goes to the usual grey wait screen, but then after a few minutes it exits back to Steam. The happens in both regular and safe mode, and I've validated my files.

Specs are:
2011 iMac OS X 10.9.5
2.5 GHz Intel Core i5
4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB

Any ideas?

Things like that are often due to other changes in the system, be it hardware or software. Consider if you've made any changes to drivers or installed something new that might interfere with the game. Also make sure the game has enough memory and processing power available when running it.
