broken game save? help please :c

recently I was playing the game and it was working just fine! then suddenly my computer crashed in the middle of it and that usually never happens. the game wasn't in the middle or saving or anything i was just in the middle of roaming around the safe area while it shut off. now my game save is telling me its 'an invalid format' and that I need to update it or start a new one?
im not sure how to update it but it was updated when i was playing it! please help :c
I really don't wanna restart I got super far <:'D

How did you get a Boom Plort in place of your save icon?

Anyways, since your computer crashed, it likely got corrupted, and because of that it shouldn't be able to be used anymore.

Going a bit offtopic, I wonder why devs didn't add plorts as icons for saves. Same goes for other kinds of chickens.
