Low FPS and lag since update

I used to be able to play on high/medium settings just fine and my FPS was 45-55. Since the latest update, it barely reaches 30 on the lowest settings. Is there a way to fix this?

If this is a common issue and wide-spread, it's probably just an optimization issue with the version itself.
Which means, in newer versions - this will be fixed.

Checking out on your drivers never hurt, either.

I'm experiencing the same thing!

I'm on a MacBook Air, 1.6 GHz Intel Core i5 with 4 GB of memory.

Idk if you need the other stats but under memory it also says 1600 MHz DDR3 (which was the best Dance Dance Revolution) and under graphics is "Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB.

I try on only run steam and the game itself when I play it, usually with my laptop plugged in (this game does take up a lot of battery) and it still lags at least once a minute now.

Usually I'm used to a lag point at the start of the game file opening, which I get because assets are loading. I get lag during changing my setting in the Options menu, but I get it; I'm essentially changing the entire appearance of the game. I can even get the flashlight lagging the first time I turn it on. But this is getting a little silly now XP
