How to get the 3.0 update?

Hello my son recently paid the $20 through Steam and is playing the 2.4 version. He wants to now do the 3.0 update but we can't figure out how to do this? I'm not familiar with the mechanics of this game but any help would be appreciated!

Hello!

If you play the game through Steam, it should update automatically. Make sure you aren't running in offline mode, first of all. To do so, click the Steam menu and look for something like "Offline mode" or "Online mode". If the menu item is the online variant, you should click it to turn off offline mode.
If it doesn't help, a few solutions can be:
- Restarting Steam
- Verifying the game cache. Right click the game in your library, select properties, go to the local files tab, press verify integrity of game cache
- Reinstalling the game. Right click the game, select "remove local content" to uninstall it. It will stay in your Steam library but the game's name will grey out. Double click it or press the install button while it's selected to install it again.
