Are my old saves gone forever?

I'm playing on a Mac. When I realized I wouldn't be able to play the new update on OS X, I switched to Windows using Bootcamp. It worked fine in Windows. Now, I updated Slime Rancher on OS X and opened it, only to find that the only save file was the one I played earlier today on Windows (through Steam). I did the steps Mike told us to do in this: [url]http://forums.monomipark.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2466/url] . I was hoping to be able to continue the game I've been playing the whole time, but it's not the end of the world if I have to start over. Is there something I'm doing wrong so that I can't see my old game?

did you by any chance spam the continue button?

If you did then you may never see those files. but it's better to start of fresh when a new update comes like this. at least that's my opinion of it
