Let's begin! :D
step one:
press ctrl+alt+t to bring up a terminal window.
Step two:
type in the command:
- Code: Select all
gnome-desktop-item-edit --create-new ~/Desktop
Keep that window open!

step three:
open up your preferred file manager/browser and navigate to ~/.config/unity3d/Monomi Park/Slime Rancher
Note: a file with a . in front of its name is a hidden file, press ctrl+h in your file manager to make them visible.
Step four:
Right click the file and click the "Copy" button, we need the path to it
Step five:
go to the create launcher window and type in
- Code: Select all
sh -c "rm
and paste in the file path, before every space add a \Image For reference:
Step six:
go to the end of the line and type in
- Code: Select all
; steam steam://rungameid/433340 "
Step seven:
Enter a name for the launcher, i named it "Slime Rancher" :D
step eight:
click the box in the top left and navigate to /home/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Slime Rancher/SlimeRancher_Data/Resources/UnityPlayer.png
select it and you should have a smiling pink slime for the background :D

step nine:
now simply press "OK" and the new launcher should be on your desktop
