Unkown loading error

My computer crashed while I was playing (most likely unrelated to the game). When I went back to play the game a few minutes later and after a reboot I get the error message under my game save of "Unknown loading error". Any input would be appreciated.

My best guess is that your save file might have gotten corrupted when the crash happened.
It sucks but sometimes it's possible for a file to get corrupted when a computer crashes.
Have you tried making a new save file and played on that?

Everything is updated and running stably now, but still it won't load the game save. Oh well I have been playing a new game.

Yeah, that particular file is just corrupted sorry to say.
