Game won't launch (steam)

I bought the game 2/1/16 around 2 p.m and have been fighting to get it to even launch ever since. When I click run normal or even safemode it will say running next to the name in Steam for at most a second and nothing happens. after seeing people play it I really want to play it myself. I've hit a wall

I'm running a Win 7, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960, 8 Gb ram, and a Intel i7 @3.60GHz processor. I've tried Validating the files, reinstalling, restarting Steam and PC over and over, all Driver are fully up to date, admin and compatibility all to no avail

Are you running any mods for Slime Rancher?

Your card and processor seem fine, does your system meet the rest of the min specs?

Processor: 2.2GHz Dual Core
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Graphics: 512MB VRAM
DirectX: Version 9.0c
Storage: 1 GB available space

What exactly happens when you launch?
After launching, does it appear as running in your task manager?

My Computer meets and surpasses the requirements.
OS: Win 7
Ram: 8 GB
Storage: 3T partitioned with 934 free space in part using
DirectX: 9.0c, 10, and 11 have been installed

Pretty much nothing happens when i try launching. If I click play before choosing it shows up in Task manager but once i click normal or safe mode it disappears and doesn't run at all. I've never experienced such an issue trying to launch a game before and like I said before I tried compatibility that were available

Since your Nvidia drivers are up to date, there is something else we can try....
Go into the Nvidia control panel and set the 3D graphics to always use the nvidia card, (not just "all graphics").
After that, restart the computer and try launching Slime Rancher again.

Let us know if that resolves this for you.

Ok, this may sound strange, but please update your audio drivers.. even if you think they're up to date.
We have had cases similar to yours that this resolves the issue.

Then restart your computer and try launching Slime Rancher again.
Please let us know how you make out.

I just set it to them. Thanks for your help I know this has to be baffling to you just as much me at this point lol

Ensure that these have been installed:
Direct X 11 or 12, which ever your Nvidia primarily uses.

OALinst
Vcredist_x86

Reinstall them manually.

You also need Direct X 9.0. Make sure that is installed and is the latest version.

If the game launches and crashes at this point bad but good.
Locate C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Slime Rancher\SlimeRancher_Data\output_log.txt as stated above and send that :P
But it might actually fix the issue.

My game now works. I'm not sure what happened but while I was looking through everything again somewhere along the line I noticed I was missing Win7SP1. After installing it again then re installing VCredict it now loads. Now i have to figure out how come sp1 was missing because I know it was installed before
