New Drone feature

Will drones be able to take/store items in a warp depot. For example, in a warp depot in the Overgrouth a drone puts in a phase lemon. In the lab, a drone will take out that phase lemon. Just wondering if this will ever be a feature, because i think that it would be cool, and very helpful!

This is very unlikely. The game currently works in such a way that when you leave an area (even your farm consists of several areas) that area pauses, and when you return to it a bunch of calculations are quickly made to figure out what would have happened during your absence. In order for warp depots to work with the drones, the entire map needs to be active 100% of the time.

Not quite accurate on the last part, but it does approach the issues correctly.

One could cause warp depots to both be loaded should they both be in the ranch, rather than the whole map. This does mean though a bunch more lag on entering an expansion with a warp depot, let alone one and a drone.

Now the main issue is how poorly catchup is set up. To effectively work with this without possibly duplicating gingers (or deleting them.) Or other things, catchup needs an overhaul.

Effectively the whole map, then.

We can reasonably assume that players will set up warp depots in each zone that has special materials to scavenge, so that's Dry Reef, Moss Blanket, Glass Desert and Indigo Quarry. Those four zones would all have to be fully loaded, along with the entirety of the ranch. That only leaves the Ruins to be loaded on demand as that's used for farming echoes which can't be handled by your drones.

Don't think you quite understand how the loading process works. Only the 2 cells in which warp depots would be in would have to be loaded, which is not what you just described. You described zones, which to put into perspective, your ranch has like 5 cells but is all 1 zone. (May have 7 cells, can't recall if ogdens and mochis are their own zones.)

This does limit lag a lot more than you are describing, but then again that only somewhat deals with 1 issue but leaves the ther major ones that it roots with.
