Slime Rancher is a fantastic game, but it's missing a lot

Cosmetics: People love cosmetics and we already have them for slimes so I know it could be done. If a third person mode could be added, I am absolutely sure that not only would people complete long quests in search of a pirate parrot to sit on your shoulder or a cowboy hat...They'd also buy DLC. I'd love to be able to get a little phosphor slime charm to hang off my vac R6:Siege style. I mean, look at TF2, though the game may be settling down it had a long and very profitable run!

Make end game more efficient (please!): I started playing 4-5 days ago, and I likely just logged off for the last time for a while. Why? Because what was left cost hours of grind, and what I had unlocked was no longer useful or fun. My drones needed refilled every 5 seconds, so my ranch wasn't automated, and I'm absolutely not going to sit there for four hours draining plorts and filling feeders just to get the titan drill. I want adventure and cute slimes, if I wanted a menial task I'd go to work.

Continue the science theme: the lab is the best thing to happen to this game, hands down. It adds a whole fantastic element of discovery to a game all about discovery (that's sorely lacking, as ironic as that is). I want to see much more. Grappling-hooks, slime nets for catching largos, slime traps, maybe a slime transformer (make glitch slimes into any type you want?), ect.

Outposting: Why can't I have 3-4 corrals in the Glass Desert for my Dervish Slimes? I'd be very happy if I could have a pen of dervish/mosaic slimes, a drone, and a store portal. If things are going to cost so much we need ways to bring money in with less effort! Or why not a mini-lab out in The Moss Blanket? I think it would allow players to feel much more connected to the whole Far, Far Range...not just the one ranch.

Decorations: I feel like this is just so obvious, why do I need to waste my gadget spots with a bush? It doesn't make sense! I want my ranch to look decked out late game, but each gadget spot is also a precious resource in the main area. I want to be able to place trees, rocks, grass, ect wherever I so choose in the ranch.

Pets!!: I absolutely want the ability to bring a little Hunter slime along with me on my adventures. Maybe they can hold one stack of items? Maybe they can be told to attack Tar and Ferals? Maybe they just look cute as ****? I don't care, but I want it if possible. I'd happily pay $1-2 DLC for the ability to have a little buddy follow me around the Range!

Drones: I know advanced drones are coming, can those please not have the same battery system? Having to go around and refill my drones every in-game-day zaps all the fun out of the science/automation. It's tedious and kind of annoying, at the very least give us a casual mode setting that removes that.

Danger: I know Slime Rancher is a chill game, and I absolutely love it for that but I have never in all of the hours in game felt in danger. There's an achievement for the Tar where you have to pick one up for 15+ seconds...I'm sorry but your enemies shouldn't ever be so non-threatening I can put one in my hand and just stare at him while he tries to be scary. Can we have an option that would make Tars much more common at night? I'd love to have to set up water cannons and gates to keep my slimes safe from the Tar trying to get in!

Movement changes: Lastely, in my opinion, an open world game is only as valuable as the way you transverse it's world. You have a jetpack and some feet, it's perfectly reasonable, but there could be more. A mountain-bike Pokemon style (I imagine this would be much simpler to program than a car), grappling hook, a hang glider, so many random and fun possibilities!

Don't misunderstand my criticisms, I absolutely love this game. The sound track, the lore, the slimes, ui's, graphics, art style. I mean you can feel the love and care put into it, that's why I feel it can genuinely be so much more. Obviously I do understand I am not a game-dev on the team, I don't know your engine or it's limitations. I may have proposed some ideas that are hard or near impossible. But, I think all of my ideas would add a lot of replay-ability. I want to play so much more, but it's just gotten so boring...and that saddens me. It's only been a few days since I picked the game up.

You kinda do have (get) outposts when you help out Ogden and Mochi with their quests.

Though I do definitely get what you mean, it's not quite the same
