The rumors are that the staff is taking a short post-holiday break after the graphics engine update, and several emergency bug fixes after that. This is actually pretty normal for small dev houses. As much as I want all the updates now, I really do respect how Monomi has taken their time and released a consistent high quality product, instead of a fast release cycle. Slime Rancher is one of the few games that has me returning after over a year of play.
