Automation

Postby Narwhal » Fri Aug 24, 2018 1:13 pm

I think it would be cool to make the drones be able to pick things up and drop things off in the warp depots, however i think 2 drones wouldn't be enough for proper automation, but i think would would be good. Let me know if anyone else likes this idea. I think having a fully automated ranch would be really cool and fun.

It's not supposed to be possible. Drones only partially automatise it.

The whole point is to make it more automated and have it added

No? They were always intended to only help you out, not to make you not have to care about your ranch at all.

The development roadmap has changed, so this is no longer available on that page, but you can read a blurb about drones from the developers here. The quote is below, with emphasis added by me.

"Our goal with drones is to somewhat reduce the amount of manual work required to keep your ranch running while still retaining the spirit of the game we have now."

That is the whole point of drones.
