Hard crash with alt-tabbing

As the title says.

When I alt-tabbed (Which I do a ton) the game basically crashed out, it couldn't be accessed again with everything I tried, and the process ended up having to be killed with task manager.

Yeah, I also found no way to get back into the game after alt-tabbing out of it. Best recommendation I can give you (and how I work around it) is to not have the game in full screen.

Yes, that's the same thing I had to do. Task Manager kill. Though I don't alt-tab as much.
The worst part is, two things on my laptop like to pop up and would minimize the game on their own.
Not only did this hard crash, but my mouse pointer was stuck in the game XD;
Maneuvering the task manager without a mouse was fun.

Yeah, same here.
I'm trying to help make wiki as well, which is kinda hard to look back and forth and make sure its correct when it keeps crashing.
Devs please fix this!

yes I have had this crash too, however if you run in windowed mode it doesn't crash.

Up one with this. I had the serious issue with the crashes as well but I've found a quick way around it just running the game in windowed mode.
Might not run the game as well and it then contains an annoying window around the game but makes switching in facebook/forums easier.

Windowed mode is probably better, but there always are random crashes in game which aren't spotted and neither "Slime Rancher stopped working" nor "Oops! The game crashed." appears, and the only thing to do is Task Manager kill. Monomi could implement fatal error detection and allows us to send a crash report to them.

I had also the problem with the crash but my computer totally locked up so I couldn't even close it in the task manager and I had to force-shutdown my pc, two times.
There is a program named Borderless Gaming. It simply makes a window as big as the screen and removes the border around it which should fix the crash when in full screen by making it seam to be in full screen but actually being in windowed mode. I don't know if it works for Slime Rancher but i will try it as soon as I can.

I've had a bit of luck myself.

Step 1: Disable fullscreen
Step 2: Tab out as needed
Step 3: Right click the program in the taskbar
Step 4: Click Slime Rancher
Step 5: Chill out for like 10-15 seconds
Step 6: Back to being the slimelord.
