I found a youtuber named MattShea in my recomendations on Youtube. He had played it recently so it was a suggested video.
I watched the video, and then other people s videos and sais "it's cute but I don't want to pay".

Two days after I had gotten so obsessed I had to run to the steam page and buy it -cries-

Saw a new video by a youtuber I watch (Generikb) for Minecraft videos. :) Instantly liked what I saw, went and got the game and fell in love.

Well, i first discovered the game from paulsoaresjr's youtube videos (as i imagine most people initially did), and also Pyropuncher's youtube videos (but he does mention he is playing Slime Rancher because he also saw it first on paulsoaresjr's videos). I'd imagine most people found this game from youtube, as it has been getting quite a lot of attention here.

I first discovered Slime Rancher from paulsoaresjr's youtube videos and quickly searched the game up and found the forums... I was quite lucky as I got the before Alpha version just before the free download was removed. ^^

It was pretty much love at first sight, running around exploring, gathering food for my slimes and farming food, and then later on becoming a crazy cat lady with a ton of honey tabbies in the Overgrowth... I have no regrets and I think the cuteness makes up for the FPS drop I get whenever I enter the Grotto. XD

I would have brought the game the moment it hit Steam if I had the money on me, but I was only £1 short! So I had to wait for the next shopping day to roll by so I could go out and get a Steam Wallet card, and now the game graces my game library.

I literally just saw it while exploring my Steam queue!
I saw the way they rendered the slimes and the environment and I was like "I'M IN!".
I absolutely love the art style and the calm gameplay... I'm tired of endless deaths and timed games.

I found it mentioned on Woodus by saigancat, and decided to check it out. Both his and CTop's videos suckered me in, and the little blobs of joy melted my heart. I got it before it was released on Steam, back when it was version 2.3, I believe.

I heard about it from my best friend while discussing cute games on Skype one day, haha.

They were like, "Oh, speaking of cute games! I heard about this one a couple days ago that when I saw it I totally thought of you."

They were right. It is totally up my alley, I'm here for life. Send help!

I play Spiral Knights, and on the forums I heard that nick was working on a new game. I followed it until the alpha released and then I eventually bought into alpha!

I saw it on steam green light. One of the few games I actually buy after voting for it.

I came across Nick's Twitter one time and followed it for a while since. His excitement for this project in the long run up until now was nothing short of inspiring.

Saw the trailer roundup on Indiegames.com, and thought it looked adorable. After scouring the internet to find negative reviews (gotta play it safe when you're looking at a 20$ Early-Access title, especially because I found it on it's steam launch day) I bought it and have absolutely been loving it.

I found out about it via Paulsoaresjr's video.

YouTube, like most. I'm bedridden and thought it'd be the perfect way to pass the time.

Spend money on what? Going out? hahahaha

I was watching one of my favorite Youtubers, Generikb. I love fantasy farming sims and things that are adorable, so I had to go and buy it on Steam. I've already put hours into the game, and now I'm trying to complete the achievements as an excuse to keep playing.

YouTube, but I forget whose series I watched first.

Youtube. Like everyone else haha. It's a great way to publicize a game. The Youtuber who I found playing it was MattShea.

I'm subscribed to Paulsoaresjr on youtube and as soon as he did his first video on Slime Rancher I obsessively followed it until I discovered you could buy into the Pre-Alpha via humble bundle. Done and done! lol

I saw youtuber MathasGames playing and it looked pretty fun so I bought it

I watch GenerikB for his random funny games and also instantly liked it

I was exposed to this game by Smash GaminG!! Being a familiar YouTube user, I instantly feel in love with the cuteness :3.
