The Energy Shield upgrade for your Vacpac comes with a personal shield generator that automatically engages in response to trauma, effectively halving the damage taken from most sources for a brief moment.

Retrofitted from an older model used for mining asteroids, the Energy Shield is not as efficient as it could be, costing the user 10 Energy each time it engages to protect them.

Modern Ranchers find great use from Energy Shields when dealing with dangerous Boom slimes.

Mechanics
The Energy Shield activates when the player takes damage, creating a temporary blue bubble around them that halves damage from incoming attacks for a short time. The Shield stays up for about 2 seconds, potentially blocking multiple hits on a single charge. Each activation costs the player 10 Energy.

The Energy Shield would be unlocked after the player purchases the Dash Boots and Pulse Vac, and would be purchasable for $600
