Some Reasons why Gamepedia is better then Wikia.

The reasons will get better over time.

1. More creativity.

You can do alot with any of the pages, as long as you know how.

2. More flexibility.

3. It makes a game out of information.

This is brilliant, it encourages you to be more savvy about a game then other people, so ultimately the wiki becomes more developed as the competition drives it towards a good future.

There is also achievements and levels.

4. is gud to look at if dun right

wikia is ugly

The core arguments really just boil down to the fact that the design is more streamlined and has less ads. The what-you-see-is-what-you-get editor is a huge plus too, as it lowers the barrier for editing. I'm quite sure you could be as creative and as flexible with Wikia, although I'm not very experienced with either platform.

The gamepedia is a very new site so it's probably not been properly indexed and all that by Google. I'd give it a week or two until you can compare, and even then, the more complete wiki would probably gain the greater audience sooner or later.

Wikia has a visual editor too, just for the record.

Just to kind of refute your main points in the first post: Wikia allows you to do pretty much whatever you can do with Gamepedia, as far as design goes. I'm not sure what exactly you are comparing for flexibility and creativity because you didn't give any examples. Also Wikia has achievements as well, and they are turned on. And lastly, I think Wikia looks fine, personally.
