For a while there have been mods that allowed map creation for Slime rancher and using those you could make fancy new locations using in-game assets in the game already.

I'm aware mod support isn't something on the table right now, but would the base game ever receive a mode like this where you can fly around and design your own far-off ranch for people to play on? I as a simple player tend to not appreciate what kind of implications doing this could hold or even how difficult it would be, but I think it would be an awesome addition to the game that would add a lot more shelf life to the game after a few years.

This combined with the long-term possibility of mod support, and official map-making mode could add so much more replay-ability for people who have played the base game to death and have loved it all to pieces already c:

Dunno how likely I am to get a response, but it's definitely something i'm very curious about, designing my own Far-off ranch to give to friends seems like a very fun thing to be able to do.

I couldn't help but laugh out loud at that better build exists thing, every update its been sloooowwwllyy falling apart until saty updates it...
But he's working on other things, so I don't blame him for waiting to update it

IIRC betterbuild has been abandoned, last compatible version is for 0.3.0.
