Will Slimes have autonomus AI having their own minds?

Postby ChosenPredator » Thu Jan 14, 2016 10:50 pm

Right now some of them just stay in one spot or do a few of their own unique trait habits, but will these creatures have personalities, sometimes for the creature series I loved just watching norns do their own thing and see how they interact with the world, watching grendels come into their environments and infect them with disease that might spread to the rest of the norns, or baby norns growing up with grendels and gaining all their bad traits and becoming more violent.

now i know this game won't go into that extent (if it did that would be incredible) but i was wondering if the devs plan to add more unique minds into the slimes to make the world more organic with strange things happening.

It seems like it could cause some lag.

I haven't experience any lag as of yet but I'm not sure what specs you guys have, it doesn't have to be super advance sophisticated AI but just enough that the slimes would be interesting enough to just watch.

For instance chickens keep spawning in the same area, the slimes devour chickens, perhaps they can move into a different area where more food is, I also figured slimes are intelligent enough to come to your ranch since you need goo slime to scare them off from eating your crops.

Just those small touches can add so much.

The current Procedural-RNG AI seems to be working just fine. Although, things like Free-roaming Gordos should have some slightly fleshed out AI.
