So long and thanks for all the plorts!

All good things and all journeys come to an end, and we’re afraid it is time for us to say goodbye to the Monomi Park Forums. Much like Bea had to leave Earth for the Far, Far Range so she could grow, our community has found homes on new platforms and these forums are no longer the right fit for us. We’ve got so many fond memories of our time together here and we’re sure you do too, so we will be archiving the site and making it viewable for everyone for a time.

The Ruin's 'purpose'

I know the update occured a little while ago but i just started playing it. In the ruins inside near the start there is a note from Hobson saying that he found the ruin's 'purpose' and was hoping that we could find it too. Does anyone have any ideas on what this may be ? I feel like it may have been a really old ranch because some sections are locked off via doors which would be perfect for ranching slimes. It may have been made from people hundreds of years ago in ancient times or maybe was made from an alien race that came down to exploit the ressources from this slime world but eventually just brought slimes with them and gave up on it. Who knows, anyone got any theories ?
I love slime rancher and everything about it. I can't wait to see what this amazing idea will become in the near future!
