treasure crackers

I know there are some people that have tried to help with unlocking the higher tier treasure cracker upgrades, but has anyone found a reasonably accurate way to unlock the treasure crackers above MK1. i have been trying to get the MK2 by trying all the ways others have suggested with no luck. I'm on day 63 in game and have used about 20 advanced drills, pumps ect each, sold about 300k in plorts and unlocked most of the MK1 treasure pods and still no MK2 treasure cracker. is there a bug or am i missing something. can someone please help me thank you

Unlocking them is a case of building gadgets, at 35 gadgets build you should unlock mk2 and after building 100 you should unlock mk3, it does take a few days for the popup to appear.
