We recently patched v0.4.3 to v0.4.3c in order to address the save file bug that some players encountered in v0.4.3. Unfortunately, any saves lost or corrupted as a result of this bug cannot be restored unless they were manually backed up by the player.

This was a very obscure bug that we didn't catch in our testing process and we regret the loss of any Slime Rancher saves. Your time is valuable to us, and if there was some way we could undo this, we would.

Though things like this are to be expected in early access development, we don't take them lightly and will endeavor to prevent issues like this in future updates.

With this update, I noticed that the mouths of slimes had their colors changed, like here:


Most of them look fine, however with some slimes it doesn't. Here, this poor hunter slime's mouth is barely visible.

About the lost save files, I had an uncanny experience where I played the same ten seconds three times, where I dropped a gold plort in the ocean. The game is taunting me with inevitable mistakes. It wasn't my fault!
