A Serious Mode for a Serious Rancher (A Suggestion)

Postby DeltaStorm » Sun Jan 03, 2016 10:53 am

This game gets way too easy after one point, and the more serious ranchers can catch booms on the first day if they know where to look, so I propse a Hard Mode (Or a 'Tarr' mode :P)

The 'Tarr' mode will be the game, but much harder, I suggest the following for the Tarr Mode.

1. Beatrix has a hunger bar, and must eat every day in order to continue the game.

2. 10% of all slimes are agressive until fed by the Vac-Pack.

3. Slimes get hungrier quicker, and are more cunning at escape.

4. More types of slimes spawn in the same areas, causing more Tarr infestations.

5. Tarrs spawn rarely at night.

6. Water doesn't disable the reproducing ability of the Tarr.

7. Sometimes, slimes will spawn at the ranch and eat crops or hen hens.

8. Sometimes, the corral will fail if not maintained.

9. Boom Slimes explode twice as often.

10. Honey plorts have a much longer range.

11. Tarrs will grab onto the player.

12. Beatrix must sleep or they will pass out and miss a day (Like being knocked out)

Any combination of these and the game is already harder.

The mode should allow you to choose what is enabled, it should also tell you how hard the mode is

Pink - None enabled.

Rock - 1 Enabled

Tabby - 2 Enabled

Phosphor - 3 Enabled

Largo - 4 Enabled

Honey - 5 Enabled

Puddle - 6 Enabled

Boom - 7 Enabled

Gordo - 8 Enabled

Golden - 10 Enabled

Tarr - All enabled

I think for now they are more worried about adding content to the game. But having some difficulty options later would be good. Something simple as "hard: slimes deal more damage, eat more and sometimes do not produce plorts" and maybe even higher difficulty settings with some customization could be interesting.

Still would be a nice addition for now.

I guess it would be kind of cool. Though we probably won't see a hard mode before the game is finished.
Sometimes I may be blunt, but it's for your own good.
