that might be the reason for the use of the word personally, he was giving an opinion and wanted to make that clear
instead of saying you don't want his answer, why not ask his reasons? you can always ignore his answer if you don't like the reason, but you sound a lot nicer that way

but you are right, only the devs or the creator of that account can give an answer that can't be disputed
