"Rock Climbing" or getting stuck at points

Postby RenKyazuun » Wed Feb 03, 2016 2:15 pm

Hello! i don't know if other players try this but i like to explore just about every nook and cranny. When i reach some areas it seems to have a sky barrier and i have to shimmy my way around or just plummet to my doom in the Slime Ocean. I'm hoping you can try and see this issue and possible add secrets (That's up to you i don't mind if you don't), but there is much to see and I'm glad to play this game. Thank you!

I agree that there should be more secrets.

However, remember that players aren't supposed to be on top of cliffs, mountains, and walls. Expect to be land bound in a future update, if the jetpack gets balanced.
Three in a row, tic tac tarr!

That is true, but some players take risks to see what is there.

Currently, the jetpack and lack of invisible ceiling allows for players to get places that they really shouldn't be able to. I think it's good you're running into an invisible wall and hope they add more of them cause right now the ability to go everywhere is breaking the game.

I agree it is, but i don't cheat it. i just get to look around and surprisingly enough for a game that is in pre-stages it looks beautiful. I do hope they make a limit, but i want to be able to have a fun time seeing everything.

Mankind took risks exploring the world and the unknown too. It takes heart and guts to go forward, not directions and boundaries.

i think it's fun to be able to run along the walls right now, hah. i understand it will need to be fixed, but for right now, it's enjoyable! you get to look down at the slimes like little ants.

It could go both ways in my opinion, instead of invisible walls, they could add content in those areas as well, so there is reason to go up there at some point.

But places like behind the slime doors is a given, and should be blocked in some form.
So decide on a per-area basis?

You may find Nick's recent comments from a similar topic helpful:

Nick wrote:Future updates to the world will include mountains and canopies and such that will limit jetpack exploration. But this will also add to the the way you think about navigating the world.

Additionally there will be changes to jetpack functionality, but the overall spirit of what you're experiencing now is definitely something I'd like to preserve.
