I have exploded three gordos, and have only gotten one slime key. I realize that I need to feed them their favourite foods, but I don't think I have any gordos left. Do I have to restart?

You don`t need to restart.

I think you are in dry reef, you can earn 2 more slime key. That means you can meet 2 gordo slimes that gives you slime key.

OR, you can open new area through your slime key. And there are more several gordo slimes in new area, so KEEP SEARCHING :)

Yes, keep searching. Some gordos are difficult to find.

Not all gordos produce keys. You find as many keys as you need if you pop all the gordos, and you can buy an extra one from the market eventually.
