Secret Style pack, new slime behavior, wild Saber largos

I have the Secret Style Pack installed, which is supposed to add more slime behavior patterns.
I've noticed that the feral slimes, especially Sabers on Ogden's Preserve, are mean as hell.
They swarm you, and you can get pinned easily taking pretty constant damage. My first trip to the Preserve ended in an emergency rescue. The Saber Hunter largos bite rather quickly, and the Saber Rock largos can do continuous damage.
Am I just getting old, or have they suddenly gotten worse?
