Suggestions from a 10yo

Postby Quinnstagram » Mon Jun 17, 2019 10:02 am

Please add at least one from each group:

Corral:
1) Upgrade where there are auto water turrets that shoot out at random intervals
2) Some kind of hologram blocker and/or tornado blocker
3) Stronger roof

Pond:
1) Water can run out
2) Some kind of water plants
3) Plort collector

Garden:
1) Sprinklers can run out of water
2) Use for dust fruits?

Coop:
1) A higher chance for roostros to spawn from chickadoos
2) Different kinds of roostros

Slimes:
1) More meat eating slimes
2) More water/fire/lava-based slimes
3) More animal-based slimes
4) Other light-sensitive slimes
5) Other prehistoric slimes that appear on their own, not out of largos

Other:
1) Quest from every person in the range exchange
2) An area under the sea (this is reachable by the teleporter at the end)
3) After you finish the game you can find other premium slimes

Thanks!

Ponds used to have a limited amount of water in the earlier versions.

Got my own opinions on each of these that i may express here quickly.

Corral
1 and 2 serve the same purpose, with 1 just being all around better. However i do have to say both begin to remove the only real challenge in the late game being ranch management and agitation management. While both may seem like good ideas, you are removing about the only thing left to give any sort of reason for caution in your ranch.
3, niche uses but not a bad idea. Helps with booms phosphors tabbies, hunters and sabers.

Pond
1 was removed already so doubt that will return unless they make rain actually work.
2 we got lily pads in 1.3.2, not sure if that is what you meant though.
3 we got drones and freerange/pond settings. Albeit the former is much better for it.

Coop
1) in all honesty this is a decent buff to chickens that they could definitely use.
2) honestly not a bad idea depending on how it would work.

Other
1) odds are this will occur in some way for at least most of them if not all.
2) agreed except for the use of the end teleporter, albeit this comes more from being an author and acknowledging the symbolism of that teleporter.
3) could be neat.

I don't see the point in item 1
2) would be nice but agitation is meant to make the game harder, our best tornado and hologram blockers are happy slimes
3) Might be overpowered

Pond:
1) Water can run out
2) Some kind of water plants
3) Plort collector
1) it used to be like this and was removed so i doubt it'll be readded
2) maybe, but with what purpose?
3) perhaps

Garden:
1) Sprinklers can run out of water
2) Use for dust fruits?
1) water is infinite
2) when you say dust fruits do you mean rotten fruits? In that case, they rot if you leave them for too long, which is motivation to collect food before it rots

Coop:
1) A higher chance for roostros to spawn from chickadoos
2) Different kinds of roostros
1) maybe
2) I don't see a point to this

Slimes:
1) More meat eating slimes
2) More water/fire/lava-based slimes
3) More animal-based slimes
4) Other light-sensitive slimes
5) Other prehistoric slimes that appear on their own, not out of largos
1) maybe
2) we also have quicksilver slimes
4) maybe
5) that would mean that they aren't extinct

Other:
1) Quest from every person in the range exchange
2) An area under the sea (this is reachable by the teleporter at the end)
3) After you finish the game you can find other premium slimes
1) working on it
2) maybe, but at least not with infinite bounds
3) perhaps, but the vaults are exclusive to post-game

Thanks!

AAAAHHHH!!! Yes! I've been complaining about this for a while now.
Slightly OT, but on both my games, in the four farm plots in the dock grotto, I grow two quantum lemons and two prickly pears. (I'm not sure if it's the regular garden or Ogden's upgrade, but eventually phase lemons just drop the lemons normally.) Then, in the grotto (again, by the pier, not the cave) I regularly release quantum and dervish slimes, and let them form largos. I don't even try to contain them. It's far enough that they can't mess up my farm.

Pond:
2) Some kind of water plants
3) Plort collector

I would love more aquatic slimes, and/or an aquatic plant.
Plort collectors in ponds would be nice, and same with the ash pit, but drones serve that purpose well.

Garden:
1) Sprinklers can run out of water
2) Use for dust fruits?

Don't agree with 1. For 2, someone once suggested a "Ghost slime" that eats the rotten fruit.

Slimes:
4) Other light-sensitive slimes
5) Other prehistoric slimes that appear on their own, not out of largos

Would actually love to see both of these.

Other:
1) Quest from every person in the range exchange
2) An area under the sea (this is reachable by the teleporter at the end)
3) After you finish the game you can find other premium slimes
Thanks!

I've said several times that I would love boB's area to be some weird, fever-dream "slime's view of a person's" world. I don't think we will ever meet Thora & Hobson, and that's actually OK with me. I would also love an underwater or "tidal zone" area. I want squid slimes.

Missed this on my review
1) already the most plentiful diet in the game at 3 more than fruit or veggie, 1 if you dont count tarr or luckies. They are generally kept in balance, with the exception of saber being in its own set at the moment.
2 and 5) begins to remove the key themes in design and mechanics for puddles sabers and fires. Outside of tabbies, no slime's theme has been touched by anothers, and tabby still holds its own distinctly noticable one despite the fact mechanically hunters and sabers do the same thing essentially. Rocks are in a close one with crystals, but both are distinctly different in behaviours (unlike the hunter that has most if not all the tabby behaviours, as does the saber)
3) would be neat
4) depends how it is done. Mosaics react to light so having some light based reactions honestly would be neat, but death to sunlight is sorta the theme of the phosphor, hitting into the point i made above.
