Welcome to the Disaster Evogame, where we take your favorite species and evolve them to the limit! (Nothing was harmed in the making of Disaster Evogame. Special simulation technology has been utilised.)

Part 1: Flood Reef
On a remote island far off the coast of the Dry Reef, many species have been transported away from the mainland and made to survive out here. But this island is in the dangerous place known as the Stormy Sea, a wild patch of the Slime Sea where all sorts of storms happen.

Species:
Pink Slime
Rock Slime
Tabby Slime
Phosphor Slime
Carrot
Heart Beet
Pogofruit
Cuberry
Hen Hen
Stony Hen

Some slimes have begun to notice that the water rises even higher with the tide than it normally would.

Pink slimes grow to be waterproof and now float. We call these:

Buoyant slimes.

Phosphor slimes embrace the light in them, and now can live in the sun and also can fly for a much extended time. We call these:

Sol Slime

Not sure if we're allowed to double post but...

Rock slimes learn of the impending danger known as the flood, and develop a thick, rock coating that makes them bigger and heavier, but will let them survive the flood and hold heart beets with them while it happens. We call these slimes:

Boulder Slimes

If im not mistaken, after this post, its probably 2 more posts before the flood. We should probably evolve the food sources before they drown and end up having slimes starve.

The Hen Hens grow so they can fly. We call these:

Pigeon Hens

The Stony Hens begin to plagarise JasonTheBasin. We call these:

Boulder Hens

Someone post something to save the rest of the food! Quick!

You asked, I'll do it!

Carrots begin to become aquatic, becoming:

Aqua Carrot

Heart beets begin a strange transformation into an aquatic version of themselves:

Sea Beet

Pogofruit make an interesting change: their seeds are waterproof, but they have to grow out of water to produce fruit. This is:

Waterseed fruit

Cuberries sink to the bottom, becoming:

Coral Berry

And last but not least, the tabby slime is brave enough to go in the water and becomes:

Mercat slime

Oh dear! The flood is coming!

The Island becomes completely submerged in water. A few rocks stay poking out of the water, but any completely landfaring creatures will be doomed.

Now it's time for the SURVIVAL CHECK!

Buoyant Slimes floated on the surface of the water happily and easily survived.
Boulder Slimes grab as many Aqua Beets as they can and hunker down until the end of the flood.
Mercat Slimes manage to change their composition so they don't dissapate in the sea, and eat Pigeon hens. They very much would rather have Boulder Hens but they can't reach them.
Sol Slimes float from rock to rock, munching on floating Waterseed Fruits.
Veggies grow on the shallows and when a root becomes unnecessary, it floats up to the surface.
Cuberries sink to the bottom and get mushy. I don't know why that would let them survive, unless you can elaborate.
Pigeon Hens stay on rocks and fly to other ones when the grass supply becomes short.
Boulder Hens can't make rock coatings, but they build small waterproof hidey holes from pebbles.

All species, except Cuberries (Unless you can tell me why cubberies would survive) Have survived!

The flood dies down, and creatures calm down again. But soon enough, some beings notice that the winds have been a bit abnormally strong lately...

About a third of the boulder slimes decide that they are not about the heavy-armoured life, and so grow a leathery, porous outer layer of calcium carbonate and some really cool grown-up antler-ish things. They float to the bottom and attract algae, turning them all sorts of different colours.

They are now:
Coral Slimes

The Cuberries, as stated before, evolved into Coral Berries. They are still there, just inaccessible to the Sol Slimes who love them so.

Sol Slimes evolve into Glow Slimes, who can swim, but not nearly deep enough to reach the Coral Berries.

Aqua Carrots grow parachutes instead of green-sprout-leafy-thingy-that-I-don't-know-the-name-of, meaning that they can fly with the wind. We call these:
Parrots
(parachute+carrot=parrot)

Buoyant slimes develop a sticky substance on their body, strong enough to attach to rocks. Now they are known as:

Glue slimes

the crystal slimes devolop larger crystals using them to build their own island

they will be named Landformer slimes

they use their bigger crystals to build a whole new island

Fine, but since Sol Slimes couldn't reach them and spread their seeds, they are endangered.

There aren't crystal slimes here.

Coral berries decide they don't like the sea. They grow onto land and grow heavy, strong roots, becoming:

Iron Berries

There is 1 turn before the storm. Hurry!

We have to save the mercat and glow slimes!

Mercat slimes form an alliance with the glue slimes. the glue slimes promise to let the mercats hang on during the storm.

Glow slimes now can dive deeper, and emit more light. They are now: Lantern Slimes.
They also find a cave under the sea, and grab any leftover coral berries and any loose iron berries.

Its storm time! Who will survive? who will die?

NOBODY KNOWS.

We already went through the flood. currently we're about to go through a storm, and we cant do anything right now.
Just wait for Raxel920 to show us who survived, who didnt.

Oof, sorry.

Glue Slimes stick to rocks, slowly crawling along to find food. SURVIVED
Coral Slimes can now stick to the bottom, and are completely fine. SURVIVED
Lantern Slimes stay in their cave until the storm is over.
Mercat Slimes hitch some rides on Glue Slides. Unfortunately, no chickens survived, so they start to go hungry. ENDANGERED
"Parrots" get blown across the sea, which helps them spread. SURVIVED
Aqua beets get flung about the water, but like the Parrots this helps them spread. SURVIVED
Waterseed fruits, too, get spread around more. SURVIVED
Coral berry blah blah blah blah spread. SURVIVRED
Pigeon Hens are completely helpless to the strong winds, and get flung to a watery grave. EXTINCT/b]
Boulder Hens' rocky nests are no match for the battering waves. [b]EXTINCT

All hens are extinct. Mercat Slimes are endangered. All other species survived.

The winds start to die down, but oddly enough, the water level seems to be lowering. The slime sea seems to get more and more slimy as the water content drops...

Fortunately, we can just simply have mercats follow their ancestors the saber slimes steps and live on as their largos because largos can eat two types of food (in the case of pink largos, anything) so when the drought hits we can have them largo up with anything like lessay some glue slimes which if im not mistaken used to be pink slimes which would mean they still eat anything. tl;dr have mercats pull a saber slime trick if needed. But we should only do this if necessary.

Some glue slimes somehow "purify" their sticky substance idk why, but it becomes a substance similar to water. It isn't as good as water but it works pretty good.. They can now occasionally excrete moderate amounts of this substance at no drawbacks or costs. They have become: Faucet Slimes.

Perhaps some faucet slimes should form to make a gordo. Maybe they can produce large amounts of water that way.

Lantern Slimes evolve exoskeletons and large vacuoles to hold water, their glow dims to keep them cool, and their wings enlargen to become Firefly Slimes.

Without chickens, the Mercat slimes resort to eating fruits and become amphibious, but can survive without water, becoming Civet Slimes. As a bonus, their plorts make a good pick-me-up in the morning when ground up and steeped.

Coral Slimes forgo the algae on their bodies, allowing them to dry up without consequence, and become hardened. The coral slimes are now Fossil Slimes.

G E N I U S!

Strange! the "Parrots" have lost their parachute, but now have a sac thing that can store quite a bit of water, allowing it to stay hydrated when there's no water available, but if anything eats the new food, it also gets the water the food had too. We'll call these Cactots tried to combine the words cactus and carrot

Waterseed Fruits become able to retain water for extended periods of time, and grow decorative spikes. They become Cactapples.

Aqua beets take their roots, but due to the lack of water they just filter-feed off of the remaining slime and eat bugs, but consequently becoming so, so, spicy that they become Pincer Peppers.

Coral Berries split into two distinct sub-species. One becomes hydrophobic, repelling water, but in the process losing the ability to create oxygen and glucose. They literally become living prunes, or Fogeyberries. The others evolve to be able to use slime as their main form of water, and expel more slimes from them as a result. This makes their fruits incredibly poisonous to repel hungry slimes (but slimes aren't really affected by poison), becoming Slackee.

Well, that's all of them, unless someone wants to add migrant species.

Otherwise, DROUGHT IN ONE POST HURRY
