simple these are a few pond upgrades i thought off

deeper pond 350 gold: increases puddle slime plort rate from 6 irl minutes to 4 looks: the pond walls are higher
mini ponds 500 gold: increases puddle slime limit from 4 to 5, 6 with duck: looks adds a cross section in the middle which makes it 4 small ponds
ancient pond 1000 gold only available if glass desert is unlocked: makes it a ancient water pond: the walls will now look like the ruins blocks and the water will have a lighter tint
plort collector 500 gold: self explanatory
water collector 250 gold only if water tank has been bought: over time collects water from the pond and puts it in a storage tank

Those upgrades would make puddle slimes the easiest slimes to ranch, and I don't think this would be a good thing. Why would they also need a water collector upgrade if you can already suck it out from the pond itself?

while I agree with it becoming too easy, you have no idea how often I accidentally suck up my puddle slimes trying to get water.

They pretty much are already, particularly after you get the docks. They don't get agitated, they don't require feeding, they don't randomly turn into largos (or Tarr); you just stick them in the water and forget about them.

I really would love a more aqua-themed area though ;)

I need a water collector. My puddles have crowns and I suck them up sometimes. Then they lose the crown. (=( <- Sad Face.

I feel like the ancient pond upgrade should either increase plort production or prevent Puddle Slimes from getting shy.

Maybe it could be called the primordy pool.

I was wondering why they haven't added any pond upgrades. I could use a faster way of gathering water from ponds. I assume it can carry 100 units of water?

They increased the firing rate of the gun, but not the suction rate of water for some reason.

The only way that's going to be useful is to increase the suction rate for just that upgrade.
OR, one succ & you have the max amount of water from the tank you can carry.


I do like the plort collector idea. It should be on 4 arches suspending it ABOVE the slimes, because ground-level requires making the slimes jump so the plorts can get to it, but if there's no walls, there's a risk of puddle slimes getting out. The best way to avoid losing puddles is to prevent jumping in order to collect the plorts.
Of course, you'll need to attach a tube connecting to a ground-level collector so you can reach the plorts after they're collected.

I agree with this, really.
The only thing I really want for a pond upgrade is a plort collector, I don't really like having to always go down to the docks where I put my ponds just to suck up their plorts, then accidentally suck up the Slime instead. It's kinda annoying.

I need that. My slimes have crowns.
