Seasons and Weather

It would be cool if the game had some weather that would come at random times and could basically affect certain slimes and their behavior. This could make the game harder and have the rancher have to be more tactful in their slime positioning.

For example, if it rains, it could make ponds overflow and have puddle slimes spill out of the pond. And maybe fire slimes could go out if there isn't any ash available while it rains. But rain could make vegetables and fruits sprout immediately.

Maybe a cloudy day could make slimes less patient and make them more irritable due to the bleaker background.

A fog could also be interesting, making things harder to see and could make quantum slimes more likely to blink out of their pens.

If there were seasons, like winter, it could make some slimes have certain behavioral changes for a longer period and have the rancher have to make preparations and the like. It would also have some benefits too. Maybe winter means that you'll have to prepare a campfire near the pens everyday, or maybe puddle and fire slimes could be inactive in that season. Maybe in summer, fire slimes could make more plorts but boom slimes explode more and mosaic slimes release more anomalies. Maybe in spring, tangle slimes can spread their sneezing spores beyond pens and reach farther if not fed. Etc.

Ive heard there was something like this in some early access build. Wish they'd bring it back

A weather system did exist in earlier versions of Slime Rancher, but it was removed because it never really got off the ground. It's unknown if that feature will be added back.

Oooh this is going to be good, you've gotten my rare creative drive going, and I'm going to say a simple thing, cloudy days could have an upside! mosiac slimes will attract less attention as well as phosphors being able to live longer outside the shade! (but still, KEEP THEM IN THE SHADE)
as my slime of choice, the crystal slime is supposed to have it's crystals super heated, they could take less time to break from the ground in winter! and more in summer... honey slimes will also be active in spring and summer though! taking in more food to bring extra plorts! same to be said about sunny days and the tangle slime!
