Shell Slime

Just another idea from nowhere

DIET: Dry Coral (Decorations)

SLIMEOLOGY: Shell Slimes are mostly found along the dry coral on the Far, Far Range. When ranchers spot them, they are usually with found feeding off the coral, incased inside a clam-like shell. While inside their shell, they cannot be sucked, due to their strong rooting to the dry coral. Even when they are found jumping around in their shells, they are surprisingly quick to retreat into a hole when a rancher approaches. They only retreat back into their crevices at night. Because shell slimes like to live the life of a nomad, crevices are always newly dug.

The only way ranchers can capture these slimes is for them to find the crevice at night and suck them in, since shell slimes leave their shells when sleeping in their temporary home. Ranchers must only have to find them.

*NOTE: Shell slimes I think would be best if they were as hard to find in the wild as wild hunter slimes, but they come in usually 2s-3s when found.

RANCHER RISKS: There isn't much required to farm from shell slimes. All a rancher needs is a dry coral for them to feed on. Additionally, when they release shell slimes, they will immediately dig a crevice and hide there. Therefore, a rancher must find a shell for these slimes separately and leave them in close vicinity for them to pick them up before releasing.

While they feed on dry coral, they will only release plorts when the dry coral is moist enough. Splashing some water will leave them more than happy for half a day.

PLORTONOMICS: (no ideas so far)

TOY: Starfish Toy (Double the plorts when they release plorts)
