Challenge Ideas for Slime Rancher!

Different Challange Modes:

Delicate Mode:
Your HP is just 1HP and Health Upgrades don't exist!

Decay into Tarr:
When a Slime isn't fed for a few days, it becomes a Tarr.

Fiery Rage:
Firestorms in the Glass Desert happen much more often and create even more chaos!

Mega Explosions:
Boom Slime Explosions will blow you a distance away when very close!

Ground is your Path:
You can't use a Jetpack.

Whirlwinds Ahead!:
Giant Cyclones from Dervish Slimes can pick you up and throw you in a random direction!

Solar Flare:
Firestorms can occur anywhere.

Sleepy Bea:
After about 20 mins without Sleeping, your screen will begin to darken meaning you are getting tired.

Limited Space:
You only have 2 spaces for Items/Slimes (You can still get a Water Tank)

Money is required for life!:
Anything requiring Newbucks will cost twice the amount!

Harmful Aura:
When in a Rad aura, your Radiation bar will fill up twice as fast.

Carnivorous Plants
Most shrubs(like bushes) on the whole ranch are replaced with large, hungry Tangle Slimes that have a craving for rancher.

Tsunami Time!
Tsunamis may randomly happen in areas that are very low(ex the Quarry) and may vary in size from harmless to big enough to wipe an entire area clean of Slimes and ranchers. Standing behind a tall enough wall or on high ground helps you survive.

Hungry, Hungry Ranchers
In order to survive, you must study the native foods and determine what is edible and what is not. You must keep yourself from starving while managing a chaotic ranch.

Troublesome Tarr
The slime sea is replaced with a mass of Tarr fluid. Any slime that falls in is immediately spewed out and is a Tarr. Tarrs may also randomly pop out of slime spawn places.

Fearsome Ferals
Feral Slimes can one hit kill you. They are also much more common, and require 5 pieces of food to calm them down.

PART 2
A Dog's Worst Nightmare
All Slimes are tabbies or tabby Largos. Only Gordos supply non Largo non Tabbies.

All that Glimmers is not Gold
Gold Slimes and Lucky Slimes are non-existent, so are the gadgets their Plorts are needed for.

Claustrophobic Slimes
Only 10 Slimes are allowed per corral, but only 5 Largos. If they are too cramped, they don't create Plorts.

Drought Mode
Water is scarce, Puddle Slimes are near nonexistent. The Slime Sea has lowered, revealing new areas. But beware, these new areas are more hostile than helpful.

Frozen Firestorm
Randomly, anywhere on the ranch, glass sculptures like in the Desert may appear, send things flying then disappear a few days later.

Nice! I just don't see how the "All That Glimmers is not Gold" would be a challenge, people usually wouldn't encounter one anyway.

I kinda done the 1-hit Feral thing already with the Delicate Mode (The first challenge I mentioned)

Hostile Entity Detected!:
Steampunk Slimes (See my other post), will always assume you're a threat and their lasers do more damage.

Burning at the Clay:
Acidstorms in the Mesa Mesh (Also in my other post) now happen everywhere.

Not so Largo:
Slimes become Tarr instead Largos, at least Feral Slimes don't exist!

One Life Only:
If your HP gets to 0, your save gets deleted.

How many do I NEED?
Micro Slimes (1/4 the original slime size) must be combined to make one slime. For example, four micro rocks are needed for one normal. These micro slimes are the only wild Slimes. You must combine them to actually make Slimes.

Treepocalypse
Moss blanket trees are now EVERYWHERE and the Moss Blanket Slimes plus normal Slimes inhabit every area. Careful though. The expanded habitat gives Boom Slimes an impressive boost in population.

They kinda are settings, you can activate any of them when you make a new world, some combos would be very challenging together like Delicate and One Life Only!

Treepocalypse would go well with another challenge I suggested :D (The one that involves Boom Slime Explosions having a knockback effect)

I like that one...

- Tainted Ground
- The soil is infested with rotting mold. Fruits and veggies on the ground last only 25% of their normal lifespan. Chickens die six hours after adulthood. Other items, like plorts or extracted goods, decay after four hours game time. Anything not quickly gathered is lost.

I don't like solar flare or decay into tar but the rest will make the game more exciting!

-would you be able to add multiplayer in the future?

Pollution:
Water can harm you.

Mad Rock:
Rock Slimes will (somehow) spawn feral and will always roll towards you.

(Cheats)
Lucky Gild:
Gilded Ginger can spawn in any zone.

Saving Resources:
Slime Science Gadgets only need half the amount of ingredients to make.

Zero Captivity:
Corrals cannot be built. You must either freerange your slimes or gather plorts from the wild to sell.

Pink Party:
Pink slimes are the only slimes you can get!

Eternal Aggression:
All largos are feral and cannot be calmed down, unless you have a taming bell. But the bell won't work on Hunter largos.

EXTREEEME ENERGY!! ((kudos to whoever gets the reference)):
You have infinite energy to mess around with >:D

1 + 2 = 3rd person:
You can zoom out and have a view of your character. This may not seem useful, but it's fun! :)

Too Expensive:
Everything costs twice as much as their normal price

A Demolitionist's Dream:
Boom slimes spawn everywhere and will destroy anything near it if it explodes

Cannibalism:
Feral slimes will eat other slimes except for gordos

Quick-Slice:
Quicksilver Slimes will now hurt you whether they're electrified or not, electrified ones also do twice the damage.

Lonely Drone:
You can only have 1 Drone per ranch expansion. Water runs out twice as fast.

Nuclear Past:
Crystals and Hexium Formations in the Indigo Quarry and Water in anywhere in the Far Far Range is now Radioactive.

Radioactive Sun:
All of the Far Far Range becomes radioactive during the day, you're only safe in areas shaded from the sun, or at night. Is this what it's like to be a Phosphor Slime?

Collect Resources:
Drills, Apiaries and Pumps now require Materials other than Plorts, you can find them in the Wild or from crates.

Honey Slime Lord:
All of the Regular Water in the Far Far Range is replaced with Sticky Honey, very slow to move through and longer to vac up, significantly slows Tarr and prevents them leaping instead of destroying them. (Also gives Puddle Slimes an orange look :3)

(Cheats)
Quick Rush:
While in the Nimble Valley, you always have at least one random ability in your inventory (Slooow field, Thunderclap, or Static)

Treasure Hunt:
There are Crates placed around the Far Far Range covered in a Gold Ribbon (6 to start) a new one will be spawned every few days, they each contain 8 Gold Plorts (With a Chance of a Gold Slime)

Evidence Of Meteor Slimes..?
Every once in a while a meteorite will randomly crash down, if it lands on ground, it will leave a lot of materials for Slime Science once dissolved by water, if it lands in the Slime Sea however, it will create a tsunami.

Just Gordos:
The only slimes that spawn are tarr. To get slimes, you need to pop gordos.

Vegan:
Only slimes that like fruits or veggies will spawn. Meat-eating gordos are replaced with other gordos.

Rough start:
Pink slimes are replaced with rad slimes, rocks with crystals, and tabbies with hunters.

Ranch exchange offline:
No ranch exchanges can be made.

Time to heal:
Healing does not regen on its own, instead only when the player uses a healing pad or sleeps.

Ogden's little helper:
The main area is Ogden's retreat, and the main ranch cannot be used.

Mochi's hired rancher:
The main area is Mochi's manor, and the main ranch cannot be used.

Wild rancher:
The Ranch is unusable. The player starts off with a Portable ranch exchange.

Gadgets are stuck:
You cannot pick up gadgets.

Tarr at night:
Tarr are the only thing that spawn at night.

(Cheats)

Freebie!:
Everything is Free!

Insta-upgrade
When you buy something, it is upgraded to maximum automaticly.

Calm start:
You start with 5 pink slimes, 3 rock slimes, and 3 Tabby slimes.

Construction not required:

Some Challenge Ideas I Have

Critical Power Failure:
You have no Energy,so no running, jetpack, pulsewave, etc.

For the better,or for the worse?:
You have 10 different tanks for storage,but said tanks can only hold 10 of an item,and there's no upgrades for them

I Ain't no farmer:
You can't build gardens or chicken coops

Anti-Hoarder:
You can't build any silos,and the plort collector only holds 30 plorts maximum

Gordos are very gordo:
You need to feed gordos 500 food items for them to explode

Whats a Gordo?
Gordos dont exist,so slime keys must be bought,and there are no gordo snares

chiKKen?:
Thanks to BOb,chickens are scarce and very hard to find. Putting more than 10 chickens in a coop will have BOb steal them all.

Might have a part 2, I'm not sure
