new slimes + slime power

note: this is not entirely about slimes. this is also just an earlier post that stopped allowing me to edit it

the concept is that all gadgets and constructions require power. without power: corrals do not work (slimes can escape), gardens do not grow, ponds slowly drain of water (can be refilled but continues to drain), chickens can escape from coops, the laboratory (slime science) will not work and neither will any of the gadgets and finally, the incinerator will not work. you need to create power and prevent this from happening. there are three ways you can do this.

1. coal power
coal generators use coal plorts (from coal slimes) to generate a certain amount of power for a certain amount of time. e.g:

coal generator provides 20 power (4 coal plorts or 10 plant plorts) duration 2 days
power required 20
this would work as the power required is not higher than the power being produced but only for 2 days.

the coal generator is made up of three interfaces. the first is where you can insert coal or plant plorts, the second is a plort storage (max 20) and the last is a display screen that tells you how much power is being created. the coal generator is found at the start of the game with 5 coal plorts in it and it is attached to the left side of the ranchers house.

favourite food: nutritious nectarine
spawns: moss blanket, dry reef
aesthetic: tangle slime but greener and with flower on head
function: this slime sticks to other slimes and the rancher, but can be shaken off by running around.
there is no damage taken when stuck to rancher but rancher slows down. there will be a marker an the UI that will tell you if a plant slime is stuck to you

nutritious nectarine
found: moss blanket
type: fruit, tree

coal slime
diet: fruit
favourite food: fuelled figs
spawns: indigo quarry, glass desert (during fire storm), the volcano and are rarely found in the dry reef
aesthetic: like a pink slime but black and a dusty particle effect surrounding it.
function: can only emit 3 plorts before turning into a drained slime poses no threat to rancher and cannot be turned into largo.

spawns: nowhere
aesthetic: a pink slime but white and transparent/glassy
function: does not emit plorts and cannot be turned into largos. can be turned back into normal slime with the slime revitaliser

fuelled fig
found: glass desert and indigo quarry
type: fruit, tree

slime revitaliser cost:500
construction that can be purchased at any plot and requires power to function. How it works is you insert a drained slime and two of plorts (same) from the slime you want the drained one to become and it takes 2 in game hours and then a slime (the same type of slime as the plorts you put in) emerges.

2. slime extractor / slime generator
cost: 500
when you put a slime into this machine it will turn a slime into a drained slime and [u]produce [u]power in the process. the process lasts over the period of about a day or two (dependent on what type of slime is being processed). also the amount of power produced also depends on the slime. it can house three slimes at once

3. renewable energy
cost: varied
these will be a new set of gadget that will produce a small amount of power but will ot stop until destroyed gadgets may include:
wind mill
nuclear reactor (requires rad plorts)*
water wheel
an upgrade to the pond (called a dam) that makes it not require power
thermal generator (makes more power in area near lava)
combustion engine (requires boom plorts)*
solar panel (only makes power in the day)
reflective generator (requires mosaic plorts)*
bio generator (requires plant or tangle plorts) *
hydro generator (requires puddle plorts)
light generator (requires echoes)

*can explode if not supplied with water

refinery
this uses power to turn plant plorts into coal plorts. this takes 6 in game hours and has 3 plort slots.

largo combos
if you create certain largos (e.g. fire and boom largo) it will always give you 2 plorts no matter what you feed it (providing it is still within its diet) and it will negate all negative effects e.g. it will stop a boom fire largo from exploding or setting on fire. it will also give you 5 plorts if you give one its favourite food.

this will most lightly have three different reaction that can all be solved. the first would be rage/infuriation at the lack of power which is solvable by turning on a new feature that would give the player infinite power and water (for gadgets). the second would be the element of challenge which could be combated with longer power lasting duration or the use of never ending power sources. the last reaction would be enjoyment. this does not require fixing.
