Fungus Slime

Jeez, today is crazy, isn't it? Another slime discovery! After finding the Torch slimes, I decided that if today is a discovery day, may as well go somewhere dangerous. So I went to the home of the vicious hunter slimes, and found this little guy.

Appearance:
A bright purple slime, that looks very similar to pink slime.

Slimeology:
Fungus Slimes, unlike most other slimes, are solitary, they don't like other slimes, but will jump at the chance to interact with a rancher, some have been known to even throw themselves in danger to get to a rancher.
Rancher Risks:
Fungus Slimes are only a real danger to themselves, they run away from any other slimes nearby, sometimes even throwing themselves into a Tarr, this also works the other way around, they will often run off cliffs if they see a nearby rancher, just to get a little closer to them.
Plortonomics:
Fungus Slimes are fairly useful once refined, often used as a health food, known for increasing the consumer's immune system, and even eradicating some viruses.

I'm not sure why they look like a Pink Slime. If it's a mimic, that would only be harmful to the slime.
