Narr slime & blink slime

Postby HappyRainbew » Wed Sep 07, 2016 2:58 pm

-these are my first two slime ideas-

The NARR slime
"Slime? Tarr? Don't know for sure, but these guys seem risky to me."

Diet:
Meat (while in slime form)

Favorite:
None

Slimeology
Narr slimes are hard to find during the day- they are exclusive to the dry reef, and will quickly run away in the blink of an eye, like a gold slime. At night, on the other hand, they will transform into the feared Tarr, and instead of running away from you, well, it'll be the other way around.
These distinct slimes only seem to spawn around other Narr, so if you want to catch one, you have to find Tarr, and wait until daytime to see the true form of the the Narr slimes.

Rancher Risks
The idea of a slime turning into all rancher's most feared enemy would most definitely count as a risk to all ranchers. Finding one is hard, since they only seem to have been found around other Tarr, which will attack you and other slimes. Narr slimes will take damage and die from water at night, which can ruin the entire hunt. Keeping one is the hardest part- they won't disappear for no reason as a Tarr, but you may need to reserve an entire space for it, since Tarr love to break out (and into) of corrals.

Plortonomics
The very much valued plort of a narr slime has an extraordinary and valuable power- the ability to transform the user of the plort. While the hunter plort can be used for limited invisibility, the narr plort can be used to transform into another shape for a while. This has been used from entertainment uses to saving lives. Recommended to keep one of these plorts in case of an emergency.

Other info (not on a slimepedia page):
• Plorts start at a worth of 60 and can rise up to around 120
• This slime would look like a gold slime, except it would be black (but still shiny and a shy look)
• This slime CAN be vacuumed up during the day, but not at night as a tarr
• Will not despawn as a tarr
• Only found in the dry reef
• NARR stands for "Not Always Ravenous Rainbows"
• Summary of slime: shy during the day, turns into tarr at night, rare, plorts are very valuable

The Blink Slime
"Keep an eye out for them, just don't blink- and it's gone"

Diet:
Meat

Favorite:
Elder Roostro

Slimeology
Blink slimes are known to disappear in a flash, and then reappear close by somewhere else. They are hard to catch, and leave ranchers confused and sometimes annoyed. Slime scientists say that their molecules are very unstable, causing the slime to move so fast, it seems to teleport. Nobody knows whether or not these slimes can choose where they want to teleport, since it seems like it's random where they move. Then again, they might just be having fun.

Rancher Risks
No major risks come from this slime, but like other rare slimes, can cause the rancher to not think when they act, causing something bad to happen.

Plortonomics
Scientists are still trying to figure out how to control these plorts, since whenever a human tries to use one, they can't control it. Since the ability could be very useful once controlled, the plorts are valued. Rumor has it that one test subject said he could control the plort, but when a scientist asked him how, he disappeared in the blink of an eye.

Other info (not on a slimepedia page):
• Plorts start at a worth of 30 and can rise up to around 60
• This slime looks like a white version of a pink slime, but has the habit of bouncing side to side quickly
• Found rarely in the one section with the skeletons in the indigo quarry
• This would be like the indigo quarry's "hunter slime"
