Slimeology:
Bird slimes are distinguishable by their brown and black striped bodies, which appear fluffy. They also have even fluffier rounded patches on their sides which are often mistaken for non-functional wings. Bird slimes are easy to vac up and even easier to corral. However, it is advised to put up high walls and an air net because they are escape artists, expertly stacking each other and hopping out. They can become somewhat aggressive when left unfed, and sometimes, will let out bird-like craws. This tends to get annoying quickly, so it's advised to keep them happy and well fed. One thing though, be careful before you shoot plorts unlike their own into their corral, because it can lead to largos or worse.. a devastating Tarr outbreak. Their plorts are not necessarily sought after, but they are still worth having. Even though they're very, very noisy.
Plortonomics:
Back on earth, Bird slime plorts are used in fertilizer and garden products.
There isn't a picture, but try to imagine a fluffy, brown and black striped version of a slime. Sorry about that.
