Slimeology:

Usually found in deep caves, Crystal Slimes are solitary. While they are thought to be somewhat related to Rock Slimes, their structures are vastly different. While Rock Slimes have sharp jagged points, Crystal Slimes retain a smooth, flawless surface. Their high rare mineral content makes them highly refractive and shiny.

Rancher Risks:

While not actually dangerous, Cyrstal slimes are absurdly dense, each one weighing as much as 5 normal slimes. They don't jump well because of this, but their high clarity and shine tend to reflect and refract bright lights. This makes working around them in opensunlight vary dangerous for the eyes, as without proper eye protection a rancher can be seeing spots for hours, or if unlucky be blinded for days.

Plortonomics:

Crystal ports are as dense as the slimes that make them, and just as clear. Often used in industrial applications ranging from being used to tip drills and saws, to being used to focus cutting lasers. Sometimes if the plort is of exceptionally high quality, the excessively rich might purchase it to be crafted into jewelry. a Crystal Plort Engagement Ring is often seen as a wildly extravagant romantic gesture.

Yeah, my thought was that like the phospors their ideal environment would be the grotto or a dark corral. having them outside in the sun would have the effect like when the sun glints off a car's windshield on a really bright day.
