Slimeology:

Sleepy Slimes are probably the laziest of all the slimes. The only time a Sleepy Slime will wake up is when they're hungry or if the Tarr are nearby. Whenever another slime is nearby a Sleepy Slime, there's a chance that it too will fall asleep for a period of time.

Rancher Risks:

The only issue that a Rancher would have to be concerned about is that Sleepy Slimes may cause other nearby slimes to fall asleep too, slowing plort production. A Sleepy Plort may have a similar effect to normal slimes even before consumption.

Plortonomics:

Sleepy Plorts have been useful in serving as a sleep aid for people who have trouble sleeping. It's said that eating one of these plorts is enough to knock you out for a whole night's sleep, waking up refreshed and energized in the morning.

Super cute! It could be a use for the dark corrals other than phosphor slimes.

I agree! I could see this slime needing to be in a dark environment.

In case people were wondering why I came up with this idea in particular, I made the Sleepy Slime because there have been times where I'd be unable to feed my poor Largos when the harvests weren't yielding enough food.
